Trussed roof conversion

This conversion was carried out within a modern trussed roof installing steel beams and posts transferring the added loads to the solid walls on the ground floor. A full length flat roof dormer was constructed to gain extra head space required for the master bedroom and wet room. We also supplied and fitted a purpose made bespoke staircase from the ground floor all the way through the first floor to access the new added space.

Period Conversion

This conversion was carried out on a period house in a traditional style roof. We constructed 3 leaded flat roof dormers with cornice detailing to match in with the existing details. We also had bespoke staircase made with spindles and newels specially turned to match the existing style this enabled the conversion to flow through without any noticeable transition. The customer gained two large double bedrooms and landing area.

New Bungalow Conversion

This conversion was carried out in relatively new bungalow due to a growing families need for extra space. We installed a whole new timber structure within the roof space gaining the customer Two large double bedrooms and shower room. We built bespoke wardrobes to match the line of the roof, this conversion only required Velux windows due to the large size of the existing roof space. the front door was moved forward to locate the the new straight flight staircase. The customer has said everyone who goes around cannot believe they have had a conversion as it looks like the bedrooms and stairs have always been there.

70s Bunglaow Conversion and Refurbishment

This conversion was carried out on a 70s bungalow, our customer purchased with the loft space the main buying point.

We visited the property with our customer and provided a budget costing to determine whether they would buy the property or not. Once the sale had completed we provided all the drawings and calculations and converted the loft space into master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom all sited under the new flat roof dormer.

We also created a bedroom for the young daughter within the opposite roof space with velux windows and panoramic gable window. We also supplied and fitted purpose made wardrobes to the daughters bedroom to fit under the sloping ceiling. The loft was accessed via a winding oak bespoke staircase. Once the loft was complete the customer then hired us to knock the existing downstairs around to form a large kitchen diner with study to rear inserting appropriate elements to support the additional weight added to loft previously.

We also supplied and fitted a purpose made Oak front door and entrance frame and fitted oak flooring to the hallway supplied by our customer.

Loft with Underfloor Heating

This conversion was carried out in a modern trussed roof bungalow inserting timber support beams and structural elements to gain a bedroom with ensuite and reading room. This conversion only required Velux windows as the roof was of high pitch meaning dormers were not required. We also installed underfloor heating within the floor joists as requested by the customer.

Terrace Conversion

This conversion was carried out on a end terrace property on a very narrow city centre street. We installed steel beams and constructed a flat roof dormer to the rear to give extra head height for the added bedroom. This shows any type of property can be converted large, small, terraced, detached or with restricted access.
